Matt Simms began tying flies at age twelve and has turned the art into a mad scientist's pursuit to find the fly that will work even in the hands of a monkey. By 1995 Matt was guiding out of Pinedale and Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and tying flies for the Jackson Hole One Fly. He moved to Missoula in 1998 to continue guiding and pursue a teaching career. Matt believes that foam is the ideal material for any large dry fly, due to its durability, versatility, and floatability.
