Justin Johnson is a native to Sacramento, CA and has been fishing ever since his dad first took him out to "Hat Creek" at the age of six. It was around that time that he discovered his dad's fly tying materials in the garage and he began wondering how he could make a fly out of a hook and feathers. It wasn't until later in life that he met Rick Anderson and Brett Drury of Fly Fishing Specialties and he learned how to create a variety of fish catching patterns. He spends as much time as he can backpacking and fishing his patterns on streams in Northern California.
