BEN ROMANS grew up in northeastern Ohio chasing bass and panfish. He moved to Missoula after high school and attended the University of Montana where he received a Journalism Degree. He guided on the Bitterroot, Blackfoot, Clark Fork, Missouri, Big Hole, Beaverhead, and Rock Creek, and now lives in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and is the associate editor of
Fly Fisherman Magazine. |

MATT SIMMS began tying flies at age twelve and has turned the art into a mad scientist's pursuit to find the fly that will work even in the hands of a monkey.By 1995 Matt was guiding out of Pinedale and Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and tying flies for the Jackson Hole One Fly. He moved to Missoula in 1998 to continue guiding and pursue a teaching career. Matt believes that foam is the ideal material for any large dry fly, due to its
durability, versatility, and floatability. |
J.D. MILLER is from Littleton, Co and grew up fishing the waters of the Rocky Mountains. He started guiding at 18 in Colorado but has since moved to Idaho where lives and guides on the Henry's Fork and the surrounding waters for Henry's Fork Anglers. He was also recently featured in SOUTHWEST FLY FISHING magazine for his creative tying and fly designs. JD hold a degree in Operation Management from the University of Colorado.

KEN CLARKE grew up in Long Island, NY where the beaches of the Hamptons became the roots of his fly
fishing. At age 13, he taught himself how to tie flies at the kitchen table. Since then he has fished from the Northern reaches of Maine's tributaries of Moosehead Lake, down to Vermont's Battenkill River, to Central New York's Esopus Creek, as well as Montana's Bitterroot, Madison and Bighole Rivers. Ken has also fished Baja, Mexico to fight the blue water fish such as
Rooster Fish and Dorado.

JEREMY DAVIES grew up in Alberta, Canada. He then moved to Calgary to fish the Bow River for trophy Rainbow and Browns. Jeremy started tying flies commercially in 1998 and currently enjoys teaching fly tying classes, and seminars as well as sharing his beloved and deadly patterns with anyone who enjoys his passion for the sport. Jeremy is happy and proud to share and introduce great patterns like the Evil Weevil, Lightning Stones, and Explosions Stones south of the Canadian border to anglers everywhere.

BOB POWELL is from Fredrick, Maryland and grew up fishing the mountain and limestone streams of Maryland,
Pennsylvania, and Virginia. He has two years guiding experience in Alaska and guided 9 years at The Missoulian Angler in Montana on the Clarkfork,Bitterroot,
Blackfoot rivers, and Rock Creek. He now runs Bob Powell Outfitters in MT. Bob holds a degree in Fisheries Biology.

HILDA HERRERA has been involved in fly design and fly-tying for over 14 years at several factories in Costa Rica. She has fished the Madison, Henry's Fork,Missouri and Yellowstone river with great success. We needed to add to our Spinner and Spring Creek lines, so Hilda designed some patterns in the genre, based on her knowledge of thousands of patterns. Our field testers put them to the test and they worked so well we immediately put them intoproduction. |

JOHN GOULD has been living and fishing in Montana for 13 years. After moving from New Hampshire with its
smaller brook trout streams and large rivers where Atlantic Salmon run, John has spent the last 10 years guiding on the rivers in and around Missoula, MT,
including the Big Hole, Beaverhead and Missouri Rivers. John has also worked with MFC in Costa Rica, teaching
patterns and methods of fly-tying to our employees there.
